Trailer with the UPMCLG Crew

We are very excited to share the news that we have a new trailer, taking our capacity to make an impact to the next level. The trailer was funded by Landcare Australia, the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), and through our group’s own fundraising initiatives.

Kitted out with a great range of tools and equipment

FRRR has also funded a wide range of tools and equipment, including weed sprayers, drills, augers, loppers, pruners, wheelbarrows and safety equipment, ensuring we are fully kitted out and mobile to restore and revegetate our local environment.

Connecting with the Community at Wallan Market

Bendigo Bank funded a marquee, which we are using at field days, weeding and planting days, and our market stalls.

A sincere thank you to our funding partners. None of this would be possible without their support.

The trailer itself was manufactured by LDK Trailers in Shepparton. The quality and finish are first class and exceeded our expectations. It is truly a work of art, and we are very grateful for the care and craftsmanship that went into its construction. The trailer includes multiple lockable compartments, slide-out drawers and a built-in barbecue, allowing us to prepare food and hot drinks, especially welcome on cold planting days in late winter and early spring. If you are ever in the market for a new trailer, we highly recommend getting in touch with LDK Trailers.

Looking ahead to 2026, we have a range of new activities planned, including projects to create additional habitat for local wildlife and to monitor biodiversity across the area. We will continue working across the community, alongside Mitchell Shire, local businesses and specialist groups, to tackle weeds and pests through our Partnerships Against Pests program.

We are keen to see more planting days in more places. If you are interested in getting revegetation happening in your area, we can help set that up, or you are welcome to join one or more of our planting days. We will also be out and about at market days, so please say hello if you see us. ">Feel free to drop us an email if you would like to get involved or have any questions. We are always happy to welcome more people into the group.
