President

David is the dedicated owner of Walwa Park Farm in Upper Plenty, where he champions regenerative farming and supports emerging growers through a farm-share model. He’s passionate about blending productive agriculture with ecological stewardship.

Michael brings order and creativity to the group. He runs a global textile design business from his Upper Plenty home and is deeply committed to building a connected and capable local Landcare community.

Treasurer

Vicki has a deep love for the region’s wildlife and bushland. She ensures our group’s finances are in safe hands, so every dollar goes towards real outcomes on the ground.

Membership Officer

Kate is a creative all-rounder with a background in local government and a love for arts and crafts. She’s the friendly face for new members — ready to help you find your place in the group.

Paul Gruigan

Committee Member

Paul is a local farmer who brings practical land management experience and a grounded voice to the committee. His involvement helps ensure Landcare continues to support working farms as well as regenerative agriculture practice.

Pete Williams

Assistant to the Treasurer


Pete is our local tech and fundraising wizard. An accountant by trade but now working in technology Pete has a long history in working with communities in Disaster Resilience and Recovery. He loves wildlife and the natural environment

Viv Lazzarini

Committee Member

Viv is a farmer and has a long history working in rural health. Viv brings great skills in Project Management and Community Health and Wellbeing. 

Chris Cobern

Landcare Coordinator

Chris is the Landcare Coordinator from the Merri Catchments Management Committee and works with Landcare and Environment Groups in the region. Chris has an incredible depth of knowledge of the flora and fauna in the region.  He is a key contributor to our events and broader activities
