One of the earliest plantings we did, three years ago, was around a dam at Walwa Park. While it seems things move a bit slowly it is great to see as trees, grasses and plants grow; the environment springs to life.
Frog and birds come in, the sounds change, water quality improves. Hopefully you have noticed the ever increasing number of green plant guards appearing in the area. Everyone of them is a small but important contribution to revegating the area with native plants. reclaiming land from weeds, improving biodiversity.
Over the course of the year there will be plenty of opportunities to take part in planting days or better still, if you want to have a planting day on your property let us know. As our group continues to steadily grow we have more people wanting to plant and we have the equipment to do it.
